REACHING CAMBODIA IS A NON-PROFIT, NON-GOVERNMENTAL, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION, WITH THE MISSION STATEMENT TO HELP AND IMPROVE THE LIFE OF POOR, ORPHAN AND STREET CHILDREN.
Set up in November 2013 by three long time friends; founders Silvan, Denise & Rene’ have teamed up into this intense journey dedicated towards creating a difference.
Through the common love for traveling three friends have chosen Cambodia which is particularly known as the land of magical temples, beautiful scenery, and friendly people. However, it is a land that has had a dark past and considerable poverty.
We are committed to make a difference, to improve lives by providing basic needs, however, we cannot do the job alone. We need your help.

Malnourishment and disease deny many children one or both parents, while a struggling rural economy often leaves them hungry. Inadequate education makes future prospects poor and orphaned children have little hope of pulling out of a cycle of poverty.
Following Pol Pot's dictatorship, genocide & atrocities, Cambodia today is still suffering the aftermath. Born into a country with one of the highest rates of child prostitution, domestic violence and child labour, Cambodian children are among the most deprived, exploited and abused in the world.
40% of Cambodian children under 5 years of age are chronically malnourished, and 7% of children die before their fifth birthday, largely due to causes normally preventable elsewhere. (according to latest statistics)
Together, we're going to make the future of these children brighter and healthier. Our aim is to keep them safe from this withered world.

Compassionate and caring, Charlene is the most self-composed of the team. With a passion for photography and travelling, she also loves reading, swimming and baking. Charlene graduated in 2009 with a B.A degree in International Relations and acquired a Masters of Arts in Diplomacy the following year, both from the University of Malta.
The youngest of the team, Luana is very hard-working and easy going. Holding a BSc in Creative Computing, she is artistic. Her experience in Cambodia motivated her to join the team. A great music lover and indulges in air drumming, she also loves watching a series or two. None the less, on a camping weekend, she's in.
This leads most volunteers to remain involved even after their placement and lend a hand whenever needed. Committees have been formed to focus on particular aspects of the foundation, new ideas have been introduced and our huge family of volunteers keeps growing united through one cause - spreading love.
